Senior Data Scientist
The Senior Data Scientist at LendingTree plays a pivotal role within the Data Science team, leading complex data analysis and model development projects. This position requires a deep understanding of data science and machine learning workflows, as well as the ability to navigate fast-paced environments with agility. The role involves building strong partnerships with engineering, product, business, finance, and analytics teams to implement advanced analytics solutions effectively.
Key responsibilities include executing data science strategies to address business challenges through analytics and AI/ML models. The role involves hands-on design, development, and deployment of predictive models and machine learning algorithms. Collaborating with team members and business stakeholders to understand objectives and develop analytic models that provide actionable insights is essential. Ensuring the validity, reliability, and robustness of models through best practices in validation, testing, and calibration is also a critical aspect of the role.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field, with a PhD preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a data science role is required, showcasing solid abilities in SQL and Python. Proficiency in utilizing a range of machine/deep learning algorithms and frameworks, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn, is essential. A solid understanding of cloud computing environments and experience with deploying models in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is also necessary.
Compensation for this position ranges from $130,000 to $170,000 annually, with eligibility for an annual performance bonus.
