Waymo is seeking a Senior Counsel to lead legal initiatives across Japan and the broader Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Candidates should possess a law degree (LLB, LLM, or JD) and be admitted to practice law in Japan. A minimum of eight years of legal experience is required, with at least four years practicing law in Japan. Experience in assisting international technology companies with introducing novel products and services into Japan and other APAC countries is essential. Fluency in both Japanese and English is mandatory. Preferred qualifications include experience in the automotive or ride-hailing industry, in-house counsel experience, and additional admissions to practice law in other APAC countries.
