Key responsibilities include meeting sales targets for biotherapeutic services, understanding large molecule drug discovery workflows, prospecting within new and existing accounts, and developing high-level client relationships through regular virtual and face-to-face meetings. The role also requires maintaining technical and application competence to drive business and customer satisfaction, providing feedback to operations to improve marketing strategies, and participating in customer events such as webinars and tradeshows.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in biology or a related science and at least 5 years of relevant sales experience. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications like LinkedIn, are essential. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are required. Experience with CRM tools, particularly MS-CRM, and a customer-focused approach are also important. The candidate should be capable of working both independently and as part of a team, possess a valid driver's license, and be located near a major airport with the ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
