Arista Networks is seeking a Senior Board Power Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with global design teams to develop our switch networking product line, contributing from initial concept through to bench validation. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact within a company renowned for its innovative networking solutions.

As a Senior Board Power Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing power delivery networks, performing power validation and measurements in the lab, and conducting power delivery analysis and mitigation. You will work closely with hardware and design teams to develop power delivery strategies, create power trees, and ensure robust power integrity in physical designs. Additionally, you will serve as the focal point for power requirements and validation within a small, dedicated team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in power engineering, particularly in high-performance computing or networking hardware. A BSEE or MSEE degree, or equivalent experience, is required. Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, DC loads, and Bode plots is essential. A strong understanding of DC-DC power technology, various control modes (current mode, voltage mode, constant on-time), multiphase architectures, and control theory (gain margin, phase margin, stability) is necessary. Experience with Cadence tools for schematic and layout reviews, as well as strong analytical, debugging, and organizational skills, are also required. Knowledge of Python and experience working with vendors on design requirements and debugging are considered pluses.

The base salary for this role ranges from $139,000 to $190,000, depending on factors such as skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and equity.
