Senior Backend Engineer (Python/Go), Multilingual Intelligence & Resolution Automation (MIRA)
Wolt is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer proficient in Python or Go to join the Multilingual Intelligence & Resolution Automation (MIRA) team. This team is dedicated to developing AI-powered systems that facilitate seamless, real-time communication across more than 20 languages, enhancing customer support experiences globally. In this position, you will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services that power real-time, customer-facing systems. Your responsibilities will include developing AI-driven translation capabilities using large language models (LLMs) in production environments, creating tools and infrastructure to evaluate model performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to transform complex support challenges into robust user-facing solutions. Additionally, you will take ownership of technical decisions, shape system architecture, and enhance the performance and reliability of services handling live production traffic.
The ideal candidate possesses substantial experience in designing and integrating quality software within complex domains, with strong backend development skills in Python or Go. Proficiency in utilizing modern AI tools to enhance productivity and code quality is essential. Technical leadership abilities, experience with cloud platforms like AWS, container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker, and familiarity with observability tools and database technologies are also required. Excellent stakeholder management skills, a pragmatic problem-solving approach, and a growth mindset are highly valued.
