Senior Backend Engineer (f/m/x)

CarOnSale, a Berlin-based startup, is revolutionizing automotive trading across Europe. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll join our Logistics, Payment & Invoicing team, collaborating closely with product and design to develop impactful B2B solutions that drive our mission forward.

In this role, you'll lead the design and operation of distributed, high-volume backend systems, ensuring scalability and reliability. Your responsibilities include writing clean, maintainable code, conducting thorough testing, and participating in architectural reviews. You'll also integrate our backend with external services, such as payment providers like Stripe, to enhance system functionality.

We're seeking candidates with over 5 years of backend engineering experience, particularly in distributed or microservice systems. Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, and PostgreSQL is essential. A strong focus on delivering business-impacting features, mentoring junior engineers, and excellent English communication skills are also required.
