Senior Automation Engineer - Eurofins Environment Testing
As a Senior Automation Engineer at Eurofins Environment Testing, you will lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of advanced robotic automation systems. Collaborating with a diverse team of experts, your role is pivotal in implementing cutting-edge robotic technologies to enhance operational efficiency, boost productivity, and elevate process quality. Your primary responsibilities include designing, refining, and managing robotic systems that encompass mechanical, electrical, and software components. You will develop and implement control algorithms for robotic handling and trajectory planning, as well as create, test, and refine software for various robotic applications. Additionally, you will ensure seamless integration of robotic systems within commercial laboratory settings by developing interfaces and communication protocols to connect with other machinery, instruments, and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Diagnosing and resolving integration-related issues will also be a key part of your role.
To be successful in this position, you should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A robust understanding of robotics fundamentals, dynamics, and control mechanisms is essential, along with at least 7-8 years of significant professional experience in the robotics field, demonstrating leadership and successful project completion. Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python, and familiarity with the Robot Operating System (ROS), are required. Experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) programming is desirable. Strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional communication skills, knowledge of safety protocols related to robotic systems, and adaptability to a fast-paced work environment are also important.
