Visa is seeking a Senior Associate Counsel to join its People & Corporate Affairs Legal team, providing comprehensive legal support to the People Team and company managers on global employment law matters. This role involves advising on employment policies, compliance, and training initiatives within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include offering counsel on employment issues such as hiring, performance management, terminations, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws. The attorney will also review and develop People Team policies, guide management on employee relations, lead internal investigations, and oversee employment-related claims and litigation. Additionally, the role involves developing and conducting training programs on employment law updates and compliance projects.

Candidates must possess a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and be a current member in good standing of a State Bar, with the ability to become barred or registered as in-house counsel in the state of employment. A minimum of five years of relevant experience is required, with a preference for those with corporate employment law experience, including counseling and litigation, and familiarity with California employment laws. Strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential.
