Senior Android Engineer
Compass is seeking an experienced Senior Android Engineer to join our dynamic team in Boston. As a key technical leader, you will collaborate closely with fellow engineers, product managers, and designers to develop innovative solutions that enhance the home buying and selling experience. This role offers a high degree of autonomy and ownership, allowing you to drive projects from conception to completion within a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
In this position, you will be responsible for understanding product requirements and translating them into manageable components for the team. Your day-to-day activities will include guiding technical decisions, performing code and design reviews, and ensuring the implementation of best practices in engineering and operational excellence. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers, fostering their growth and development within the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, along with over nine years of professional Android development experience using Kotlin. Proficiency in modern Kotlin development practices, such as Jetpack Compose and Flow, is essential. Strong collaboration skills with product and design teams, a deep understanding of computer science fundamentals, and a keen eye for design and attention to detail are also required.
Compass offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $131,000 to $197,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
