Senior Analyst, Safety Operations
As a Safety Operations Senior Analyst at xAI, you will play a pivotal role in training and refining Grok to enforce our terms of service and support functions. Your contributions will directly enhance the safety of our products, including X and Grok, by mitigating existential risks, enforcing xAI’s rules, and promoting responsible development to prevent illegal and harmful content.
In this position, you will monitor and address content and behaviors that violate our terms of service, escalating issues as necessary. Your responsibilities will include processing appeals, auditing automation processes, and accurately labeling use cases within the system. Additionally, you will provide annotations and inputs on projects related to safety protocols, risk scenarios, and policy compliance, collaborating with team members to enhance AI defenses against illegal and unethical behavior.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in improving Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance enforcement and support efficiencies, with the ability to propose solutions that increase platform security and safety. Proven experience in online safety, particularly in protecting users and preserving free speech, is essential. Strong analytical skills, ethical reasoning, and risk assessment capabilities are required, along with the ability to interpret and apply xAI safety policies effectively. Excellent communication and decision-making skills are also vital.
