Senior AI Inference Engineer
As a Senior AI Inference Engineer at Monks, you will be instrumental in designing and delivering advanced agentic and visual AI systems for leading organizations in Media, Entertainment, Gaming, and Sport. Collaborating directly with major professional sports leagues and global media brands, you will transform complex business challenges into scalable, high-performance AI architectures capable of real-time video analysis and reasoning. This role encompasses the full lifecycle of AI inference solutions, from initial discovery and pre-sales to architecture, implementation, and optimization on modern GPU and cloud infrastructures.
Your primary responsibilities will include architecting, implementing, and optimizing end-to-end AI inference services and agentic pipelines using Python. You will design autonomous agents that interpret and act on video and multi-modal content, integrating Vision Language Models into robust, production-grade workflows. Additionally, you will deploy and operate services on Kubernetes, ensuring reliability and scalability under heavy media workloads, and architect distributed systems on AWS, balancing performance, cost, and resilience.
The ideal candidate will have significant professional experience in building and deploying AI/ML systems in production, with strong proficiency in Python and modern data/ML stacks. A proven track record of transitioning models from prototypes to low-latency inference services is essential. Extensive hands-on experience with agentic systems, particularly those involving computer vision or multi-modal inputs, is required. Familiarity with LLM/agent orchestration frameworks and strong practical experience with Kubernetes in production are also necessary. Excellent communication skills and a self-starting attitude are crucial for success in this role.
