Arista Networks is seeking a highly motivated Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join our dynamic, remote cybersecurity team. This role is integral to monitoring, triaging, and responding to cyber threats across our primarily Mac and Linux environments, with some Windows systems. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with fellow SOC analysts, incident responders, threat hunters, and cross-functional partners across IT, engineering, and DevOps to maintain and enhance our security posture.

Key responsibilities include monitoring and triaging security alerts, building and refining detections to enhance threat identification, and conducting in-depth analysis of security incidents such as malware, phishing, and advanced persistent threats. The SOC Analyst will perform proactive threat hunting using SIEM and EDR features, investigate and respond to incidents swiftly following established protocols, and document findings with actionable remediation recommendations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to strengthen security controls and participation in an on-call rotation for 24x7x365 SOC coverage are also essential aspects of this role.

The ideal candidate will have 4-5+ years of experience in a SOC or as an active participant on incident response teams, with hands-on experience using CrowdStrike or other EDRs. Proficiency in writing CrowdStrike Query Language (CQL) or similar queries, experience triaging alerts in high-volume environments, and familiarity with threat intelligence feeds and forensic analysis are required. Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills, a self-starter attitude, and a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and attack vectors are essential. Proficiency in analyzing logs, network traffic, and endpoint data, particularly for Mac and Linux systems, is also necessary.
