Security Engineering Manager, Network Security
CoreWeave is seeking a Security Engineering Manager to lead the network security team, focusing on securing large-scale AI workloads. This role involves collaborating with Networking and Infrastructure teams to develop security standards, mitigate threats, and manage complex incidents. CoreWeave is a leading specialized cloud computing provider, offering GPU-accelerated infrastructure for AI, machine learning, and other computationally intensive workloads.
The Security Engineering Manager will own the strategy and evolution of CoreWeave’s network security posture across the network fabric, control planes, and edge. Responsibilities include designing and securing large-scale network architectures, guiding the security model for high-performance networking environments, and leading a team of network security engineers. The role also involves driving the design and maturity of DDoS mitigation and traffic defense capabilities, and acting as an escalation point for complex network security incidents.
Candidates should have 7 to 12 years of experience in network, infrastructure, or platform security within large-scale cloud, hyperscaler, ISP, or high-performance computing environments. Additionally, 3 to 5 years of experience leading or managing engineers is required. Strong foundational knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, BGP, DNS, TLS, segmentation, and control plane security, is essential. Experience securing modern network architectures, including overlay-based designs and multi-tenant environments, is also necessary.
The base salary range for this role is $165,000 to $242,000, determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to base salary, the total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program.
