Security Engineer (Security Operations)
Everlaw is seeking a Security Engineer to join our technical security operations team, reporting to the Manager of Security Engineering. This role is integral to executing our security strategy and safeguarding our most valuable asset—our customer data. In this position, you will be responsible for enhancing our vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident response capabilities. Your day-to-day activities will include triaging security events, responding to incidents to contain and mitigate threats, and strengthening our threat detection systems across cloud infrastructure and platform services. Additionally, you will develop and refine security processes and runbooks to scale our security posture as the company grows.
The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in a security-focused role, with hands-on experience handling security events from initial triage to remediation. Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Python, and comfort navigating a Linux environment are essential. Experience with security tools like vulnerability scanners (Nessus/Trivy), HIDS/NIDS (Wazuh/Zeek), and SIEM/SOAR platforms (Splunk/ELK/Datadog) is also required. A strong understanding of the vulnerability lifecycle and experience in detecting, prioritizing, and remediating vulnerabilities are crucial.
The expected salary range for this role is between $159,000 and $201,000 annually. The final offered salary will depend on factors including the candidate’s experience and skills.
