Security Automation Engineer
BrainRocket is seeking a Security Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. This full-time, on-site position is available in our offices located in Belgrade, Serbia; Warsaw, Poland; Lisbon, Portugal; and Sofia, Bulgaria. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing internal services and automation solutions within our security and risk management domains.
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain security automation services using Python. Your responsibilities will include building scalable tools to automate security and risk management processes across multiple departments, conducting technical security audits, developing integrations with internal systems and third-party security tools, creating scripts and services for detecting and mitigating security risks, integrating security checks into CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshooting infrastructure and automation workflows.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Python, proven experience in building automation services in security and/or risk management domains, solid experience with Bash/Shell scripting, and familiarity with Git workflows. Essential knowledge includes AWS services such as IAM, EC2, S3, Lambda, and VPC, as well as infrastructure tools like Docker and Kubernetes. A solid understanding of IAM misconfigurations, OWASP Top 10, threat modeling, secrets management, and integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines is also required. Proficiency in Linux and Windows systems and a B2 or higher level of English are necessary.
