Securities & Commodities Specialist - Freelance AI Trainer Project

The Securities & Commodities Specialist – AI Trainer role is a freelance, remote position focused on enhancing the capabilities of advanced language models in the financial sector. The company seeks experts in securities, commodities, and financial services to contribute their knowledge toward developing AI systems that provide accurate financial insights and market analyses.

Key responsibilities include engaging with AI models on real-world trading scenarios and theoretical financial questions, verifying factual accuracy and logical soundness, capturing reproducible error traces, and suggesting improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics. The specialist will challenge the models on topics such as asset valuation, options and futures contracts, SEC regulations, commodities markets, trading algorithms, and financial risk assessment.

Ideal candidates possess a bachelor's or master's degree in finance, economics, business, or a closely related field. Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or Series licenses, along with experience in trading floors, financial analysis, or compliance projects, are highly desirable. Clear, metacognitive communication—“showing your work”—is essential for this role.

Compensation ranges from $8 to $65 per hour, determined based on experience, expertise, and geographic location. As a contractor, the specialist is expected to provide a secure computer and high-speed internet; company-sponsored benefits such as health insurance and PTO do not apply.
