Scientist, TOF SIMS

Eurofins EAG Laboratories is seeking a Surface Scientist to join our Surface Analysis group in Sunnyvale, CA. This role involves operating advanced analytical equipment, including Time of Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (TOF-SIMS), X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), and Auger Electron Spectroscopy, to support a diverse range of industries such as semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, and consumer products.

Key responsibilities include designing and executing analytical protocols, preparing and analyzing samples, interpreting complex data, and generating comprehensive reports. The scientist will also collaborate with clients to discuss findings, develop new analytical methods, and participate in internal meetings to plan instrument usage and meet project deadlines.

Candidates should possess a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Physics, or Materials Science, with at least one year of industrial experience preferred. Essential skills include proficiency in laboratory work, competency with analytical instrumentation, and the ability to design analytical protocols independently. Experience with TOF-SIMS data acquisition and interpretation is crucial.
