Scientist, In Vivo CAR-T Pipeline
Legend Biotech is a global leader in developing innovative cell-based therapies. The company is seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join its in vivo CAR-T development team. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct scientific impact by advancing the in vivo CAR-T platform from early discovery through preclinical development.
The successful candidate will design, plan, and execute experimental studies to advance cell and gene therapy platforms and pipeline programs. Responsibilities include conducting and analyzing in vitro and in vivo studies to assess product potency, efficacy, and safety. The role also involves developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting experimental assays, such as cell line engineering, cell-based functional and cytotoxicity assays, ELISA and PCR-based assays, high-throughput binder screening, and viral vector packaging and titration. Additionally, the candidate will analyze and interpret complex datasets, maintain accurate experimental documentation, and prepare clear, high-quality reports and presentations to communicate findings to internal research and cross-functional teams.
Candidates should possess a PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field, or a Master’s degree with 3–6+ years of relevant experience. Hands-on experience in immunology, cell therapy, gene therapy, or related fields is required. Experience with viral vector systems, especially lentivirus, is highly preferred. Industry or postdoctoral experience is considered a plus.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $93,463 to $122,670 USD.
