Scientist, In Vivo CAR-T
Legend Biotech is seeking a Scientist to join our in vivo CAR-T cell therapy program in Somerset, New Jersey. The Scientist will be responsible for developing and optimizing cell-based assays to support our cell therapy programs. Key duties include performing immune cell isolation, activation, and expansion; conducting lentiviral vector packaging and transduction experiments; and executing assays such as multi-color flow cytometry, ELISA, cytotoxicity assays, and PCR. The role also involves designing and carrying out experiments with moderate independence, analyzing and interpreting data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate constructs and generate reproducible data.
Candidates should possess a PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field, or a Master’s degree with 3–6+ years of relevant experience. Hands-on experience in immunology, cell therapy, gene therapy, or related fields is required, with a preference for experience with viral vector systems, especially lentivirus. Proficiency in cell biology and molecular biology techniques, mammalian cell culture, immune cell handling, flow cytometry, and immunoassays is essential. Strong data analysis, organization, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, are also necessary.
The base pay range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000 annually, with actual compensation varying based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. Additional compensation may include performance-based bonuses and/or equity for eligible roles. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan with company match; eight weeks of paid parental leave after three months of employment; and a paid time off policy encompassing vacation, personal, sick time, floating holidays, and eleven company holidays.
