Eurofins CDMO Alphora Inc. is seeking a Scientist II (Bioassay) to join their Analytical Development team, focusing on biologics. This role involves supporting the development, testing, and characterization of innovative biologic therapies within a GMP environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance programs from early development through commercialization.
Key responsibilities include leading analytical method transfers, development, and validation for drug substances and products. The Scientist II will plan and execute laboratory studies, troubleshoot methodologies, and ensure compliance with GMP and GDP standards. Additionally, the role involves developing and optimizing bioassays for quantifying and characterizing biologics, as well as managing collaborations with internal and external partners.
Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related biological science with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience. A comprehensive understanding of analytical techniques for biologics, demonstrated expertise in developing and validating bioassays, and strong problem-solving skills are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, along with the capacity to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, are also required.
