Scientist I - Wet Chemistry - Environment Testing, 1st Shift M-F
Eurofins Drinking Water and Wastewater Central is seeking a full-time Scientist I to join the Wet Chemistry department at our South Bend Laboratory. This role involves conducting routine water quality testing and supporting various laboratory operations. The primary responsibilities include analyzing water samples in accordance with strict Standard Operating Procedures, entering data into the corporate database, and maintaining laboratory supplies and instruments. The position also requires adherence to daily quality assurance and quality control protocols, as well as compliance with company safety guidelines. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field; equivalent laboratory experience may substitute for a degree. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and professional working proficiency in English are required. Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is mandatory. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, have a solid understanding of basic laboratory practices related to chemical and physical testing of water samples, and demonstrate excellent documentation and communication skills. Previous experience in wet chemistry and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are preferred.
The compensation for this position ranges from $19.57 to $26.25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
