Scientific Director – Antibody Discovery

The Scientific Director – Antibody Discovery at Eurofins will lead the Biotherapeutic Services Business, providing scientific leadership in technical and laboratory operations, as well as direct client management. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and managerial skills within a contract research organization setting. The position is based in Saint Charles, Missouri, with up to 25% travel expected.

Key responsibilities include developing and expanding antibody discovery platforms, fostering client and stakeholder relationships through technical leadership, and guiding executive management in portfolio strategy and new technology planning. The role also involves leading the scientific community through external marketing and brand awareness, establishing research and development objectives, and providing technical leadership to lab operations, business development, and marketing teams.

Candidates should possess a B.S., M.A., or M.S. with 12 years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D. with 7 years of relevant experience. Essential qualifications include senior-level experience in antibody discovery, expertise in hybridoma generation, B- and plasma cell isolation, antibody engineering, molecular cloning, and DNA/RNA handling. Experience in analyzing NGS data, developing client relationships, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leading scientific teams is also required.
