Sampler / Pharma Microbiology Analyst (80 - 100 %)
Eurofins is seeking a dedicated Sampler / Pharma Microbiology Analyst to join our Quality Control Microbiology team in Schönenwerd. This role combines utility and environmental sampling with microbiological laboratory testing, ensuring compliance with GMP, regulatory standards, and internal quality expectations.
Key responsibilities include conducting GMP-compliant sampling of utilities such as purified water, WFI, compressed air, gases, and clean steam, as well as environmental monitoring of viable and non-viable air, surfaces, and personnel. The analyst will perform routine microbiological analyses, including bioburden testing, endotoxin testing, and environmental monitoring plate reading and trend evaluation. Additionally, the role involves preparing media and reagents, maintaining laboratory hygiene, and supporting deviations, investigations, CAPAs, and process improvements.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor or Master degree in Life Sciences, such as Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, or Pharmaceutical Sciences. Experience in microbiology, environmental monitoring, utility sampling, or GMP laboratory work is advantageous. A solid understanding of microbiology, aseptic techniques, and GMP principles is essential. Strong digital skills, including proficiency with IT and Office applications and digital laboratory systems like LIMS, are required. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, attention to detail, and flexibility to work in cleanrooms and laboratories are also important. Proficiency in German and English is necessary, with knowledge of French considered an advantage.
