Sample Receiving Technician (Tues-Sat), Environment Testing

Eurofins is seeking a Sample Receiving Technician to join our environmental testing laboratory in Buffalo, NY. This full-time role involves managing the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and logging of environmental samples, contributing to our mission of delivering high-quality analytical testing services.

Key responsibilities include preparing samples for processing, accepting and signing for deliveries, unloading shipments, and using equipment like dollies to transport samples within the facility. The technician will inspect shipment contents, verify documentation, distribute samples to appropriate departments, and ensure adherence to strict safety and quality control procedures. Maintaining a clean and organized work area and accurately entering records into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) are also essential duties.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED, a valid state-issued driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as samples are often packed in ice-filled coolers. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication abilities, and basic math proficiency are required. While experience with LIMS software and operating forklifts is beneficial, training will be provided.

The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $18 to $19, depending on experience, along with comprehensive benefits including medical coverage, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays, paid time off, and dental and vision options. The work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with potential overtime as needed.
