As a Sample Preparation Technician at Eurofins, you will play a crucial role in preparing samples for analysis, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our testing processes. Working within a dedicated team, you will contribute directly to food safety and quality in the Netherlands. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing samples according to established protocols, utilizing various extraction techniques to ensure samples are ready for analysis. You will work collaboratively with team members to distribute tasks based on individual strengths and interests. Additionally, you will be involved in equipment maintenance, quality system management, and participate in projects such as developing new analytical methods with the R&D team or IT initiatives related to our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The role involves working in rotating shifts (7:00–15:30, 8:00–16:30, or 12:30–21:00) and occasional Saturdays, with compensatory time off.
We are seeking candidates with a background in laboratory technology or chemistry; however, motivation and the right mindset are equally important. Attention to detail, efficiency, and adherence to protocols are essential. Proactivity, result orientation, and the ability to handle confidential information with care are valued traits. Strong organizational skills and a collaborative spirit are necessary, along with availability for a 40-hour workweek and flexibility regarding rotating shifts.
Eurofins offers a one-year contract with the prospect of a permanent position (40 hours per week). The monthly salary ranges between €2,700 and €3,000, depending on experience. Benefits include 25 vacation days with the option to purchase additional leave, full reimbursement of public transportation costs or a travel allowance for car use, a pension scheme allowing reduced working hours from age 58 without affecting pension accrual, profit sharing, and an individual choice budget for added flexibility.
