Sample Preparation Officer
Eurofins is seeking a dedicated Sample Preparation Officer to join our team in Murarrie, Queensland. As a global leader in analytical testing services, Eurofins provides comprehensive solutions across various industries to ensure product safety and quality. Our Murarrie laboratory specializes in soil, plant, and water testing, serving a diverse clientele including farmers, agronomists, and research organizations throughout Australia.
In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient receipt, sorting, preparation, and packaging of samples to meet operational and quality standards. Key duties include processing incoming samples, liaising with clients to resolve discrepancies, recording sample information in our CRM system, preparing various sample types, logging samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and coordinating courier services for sample transport. Additionally, you will handle tasks such as loading samples for drying, grinding soil and plant samples, and ensuring adherence to established methods and procedures.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and proficiency in Microsoft and database software. Attention to detail is crucial, along with excellent numeracy, written, and oral communication skills. The role requires physical fitness, as it involves manual tasks including grinding samples and lifting items up to 7 kilograms repetitively. While experience in a commercial sample preparation laboratory is advantageous, it is not essential for success in this position.
This full-time position offers an hourly rate of $30.26, with superannuation and leave accrual benefits. The standard workweek is 37.5 hours, operating Monday to Friday during the day shift, with potential for afternoon shifts during peak periods. An immediate start is available for the successful candidate.
