Eurofins Environment Testing Southeast is seeking a Sample Control Technician to join our team in Pensacola, Florida. Eurofins is a global leader in analytical testing services, committed to ensuring the safety and authenticity of products across various industries. This full-time position offers a work schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, providing essential support to our laboratory operations.
The Sample Control Technician is responsible for managing the receipt and shipment of all samples entering and leaving the laboratory. Key duties include verifying samples against Chain of Custody documentation, logging samples into the Laboratory Management System, labeling and routing samples to appropriate departments, and preparing bottle kits for client sample collection. Additional responsibilities encompass disposing of samples and waste in compliance with established procedures, monitoring storage conditions, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and hold a valid state-issued driver's license. The role requires the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle background check and, if necessary, obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card and TSA clearance within 90 days of hire. Proficiency in basic computer applications, strong organizational skills, and effective communication abilities are essential. The position may involve driving for extended periods and being on-call during non-business hours for non-routine sampling and delivery tasks.
