Sample Collector

Eurofins is seeking a dedicated Sample Collector to join our Sample Collections team in the Middlesbrough area. This full-time role involves attending pre-booked appointments within a two-hour radius of your home, providing professional hair, blood, and DNA sample collection services. As the public face of Lextox, a UKAS accredited laboratory based in Cardiff, you will maintain and develop excellent relationships with clients and donors.

Key responsibilities include implementing the requirements of the company's Quality Management System to help maintain ISO17025 accreditation, ensuring all collections are undertaken in a safe and healthy environment, and providing statements of truth at the point of collection. Assignments will generally be at solicitor's offices, local authority offices, or donors' homes, with appropriate PPE provided.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and language skills, a full UK driving licence, and a minimum of two years' post-qualification experience in phlebotomy, with proficiency in various venepuncture techniques such as vacutainer and butterfly. Experience working within the NHS or Blood Service and in collecting hair and DNA samples is desirable, though in-house training is provided for the latter.

This position offers a car allowance and requires an enhanced DBS check. The role involves taking blood samples, necessitating Hepatitis B vaccination.
