The Sales Account Manager (SAM) role at GenScript/ProBio focuses on driving and supporting sales efforts within the Northeast Territory, specifically targeting academic customers. This position involves implementing sales and marketing strategies for GenScript's custom life science services, leveraging scientific and business knowledge to develop profitable initiatives and build sales.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with Regional Sales Managers and Technical Solution Managers to grow and develop the assigned sales territory. The SAM will promote GenScript's custom life science service lines, aiming to achieve sales goals. The role involves a balanced approach, with 50% dedicated to account management, quote and lead follow-up, and the remaining 50% to field activities such as customer visits and virtual meetings. These engagements are crucial for building relationships and meeting agreed-upon sales targets.

Candidates should possess a strong scientific background, holding at least a Bachelor's degree in a life science area or equivalent experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience in scientific or life science sales is required. Knowledge of the biological and CRO or CDMO market, with an emphasis on gene synthesis, protein, peptide, bioassays, antibody, and cell line products/services, is preferred. Laboratory experience is also advantageous. The ability to operate effectively in an international business environment is essential.

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000, based on experience level. The ideal candidate resides in either the Boston, MA, or New York, NY areas.
