Eurofins Maritime Services is a rapidly growing business unit within Eurofins, specializing in laboratory analyses and quality services for the global maritime sector. Our services include analyses of fuels, wastewater, and environmental samples collected aboard ships. With an enthusiastic team of approximately 10 colleagues, we collaborate daily to support clients worldwide.

As a Sales Lead, you will serve as the commercial point of contact and working foreman of our sales team. You will operationally and commercially manage three (potentially four) account managers. All customer inquiries that currently reach the Business Unit Manager will soon be directed to you. This role is not for someone who only wants to strategize; the majority of your time (80–90%) will be spent actively in the field: acquiring new clients, closing deals, identifying opportunities, and conducting cold acquisition when necessary. Additionally, you will take on team responsibilities: coaching, providing direction, and conducting performance reviews.

Key responsibilities include actively approaching new clients and markets within the global maritime sector, building your own sales funnel, and independently securing deals. You will advise clients on our laboratory services and offer practical solutions, create commercial proposals, determine pricing, and coordinate logistical processes with our Eurofins labs worldwide. Monitoring market developments and trends and translating them into opportunities for EMS is also essential. Furthermore, you will be a valuable content partner for both clients and colleagues. In terms of leadership, you will provide daily management of the sales team, support sales processes, conduct performance reviews, help team members grow, proactively identify bottlenecks, and ensure that commercial processes run smoothly and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has a completed HBO education, preferably in a commercial or maritime field, and at least a few years of experience in sales/business development with an existing network within the maritime sector. You have already led a team or are ready for the next step with additional responsibility. You are hands-on, engage in cold acquisition yourself, and gain energy from acquiring new clients. Experience in laboratory services is a plus. Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English are required. We are looking for someone who is not a "boardroom manager" but enjoys being on the road to clients and actively closing deals.
