Sales Compensation Associate
The Sales Compensation Associate plays a critical role within the Finance organization by ensuring that sales compensation processes run accurately, reliably, and at scale. This role owns the execution of commission payouts, supports compensation reporting and visibility, and partners cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Operations to ensure compensation programs are clear, effective, and trusted.
Key responsibilities include calculating and delivering accurate, timely, and consistent commission, bonus, and incentive payouts in accordance with compensation plans. The associate will validate deal and payout inputs across systems to ensure completeness and accuracy, produce recurring compensation reports, investigate and resolve compensation discrepancies, and implement process improvements to prevent recurrence. Additionally, the role involves supporting compensation plan design and operationalization, building scalable compensation processes, and delivering high-level stakeholder support.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, with 4–7 years of experience in sales compensation, revenue operations, or finance, preferably in a B2G or high-growth environment. Strong systems expertise across sales compensation tools, CRM, and financial systems is required, along with strong analytical skills and spreadsheet proficiency. A solid understanding of sales compensation design, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a proactive, service-oriented mindset are also essential. The candidate should be located in Washington, DC, and willing to work in the office four times per week.
