SAF Engineering Manager
The SAF Engineering Manager at Eurofins is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the department's operations, including staffing, supervision, scheduling, evaluation, test marketing, and planning. This role involves close collaboration with customers and other department managers to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. Eurofins is a leading international life sciences company providing a unique range of analytical testing services across various industries to ensure product safety and authenticity.
Key responsibilities include staffing and supervising department personnel, interfacing with customers and other department managers, scheduling jobs and resolving scheduling discrepancies, serving as a technical advisor, overseeing forecasting and billing, evaluating standards, test procedures, and test equipment, reviewing and evaluating quotes, supporting marketing and sales analysis, planning and execution, strategic planning at the department level, coordinating and directing quality functions within the department, and conducting employee performance reviews, recommending raises, and promotions. Additionally, the manager participates in the administration of the annual budget, reviews, and department expenditures.
The position requires a four-year college degree or a minimum of ten years of field or lab testing experience with similar management experience. A minimum of one year of relevant experience at a Project Engineer level is also required, along with coursework, seminars, and ongoing evidence of professional development. Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship. The ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of all procedures, regulations, and equipment, with the ability to integrate and manage staffing, planning, operations, and budgeting. Superior interpersonal and communicative skills are essential.
This full-time role operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with overtime as needed.
