Resident Engineer

Arista Networks is seeking a Resident Engineer to join our team, focusing on delivering advanced networking solutions for large-scale AI data centers. This role involves close collaboration with key customers, the Arista account team, and our engineering departments to design, implement, and manage cutting-edge network infrastructures.

The Resident Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and updating high-level and low-level network designs, conducting regular configuration and network health reviews, and managing the upgrade and hardening of the Arista Fabric, including CloudVision. Additionally, the role includes developing automation solutions using Arista's Python-based APIs, authoring methods of procedure, overseeing complex change windows, and performing rigorous pre- and post-activity health checks.

Candidates should possess a strong background in network design and architecture, with experience in managing large-scale data center environments. Proficiency in automation and integration using Python, as well as expertise in incident resolution and root cause analysis, is essential. The ability to mentor new hires and conduct internal training sessions is also highly valued.
