Repair Technician - BIW
As a Repair Technician at Lucid Motors, you will play a critical role in the production of our world-class electric vehicles and powertrains. Your primary responsibility will be to perform high-quality paint repairs and refinishing on vehicle surfaces to meet stringent cosmetic and durability standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in Paint, Body-in-White, General Assembly, and Powertrain to ensure flawless finishes and continuous process improvements.
In this role, you will be expected to remove surface imperfections such as dents and dings without the need for body paint repair. The position requires effective time management and involves physical tasks including pushing, pulling, gripping, twisting, reaching, lifting, and performing repetitive motions. You will follow specific sequences of steps in processes repetitively for extended periods, perform standardized work processes, and use complex tooling that requires specialized training. Additionally, you will evaluate assembly processes and equipment to identify continuous improvement opportunities and escalate any process abnormalities to the appropriate support groups and leaders.
The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years of experience. A valid U.S. driver's license is required. You must demonstrate the ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Problem-solving skills, both independently and in team environments, are essential. The role involves standing, stooping, walking, and lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is necessary. Dependability, initiative, commitment, and a focus on quality are key attributes. Flexibility to support any shift, including days, nights, swing shifts, weekends, and holidays, as required, is also important.
Lucid Motors offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and a 401(k) plan. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. Compensation and benefits are designed to attract and retain top talent in the industry.
