Reliability Lead, Common Services
CoreWeave is seeking a Reliability Lead for its Common Services organization, which is responsible for the shared platforms, APIs, and foundational services that power the company's AI cloud products and internal engineering teams. This role involves establishing and leading the Reliability Engineering and production operations practice, partnering closely with engineering leaders and teams to enhance reliability, availability, and operational excellence across critical services.
The Reliability Lead will define the reliability strategy, processes, and standards for the Common Services portfolio, driving consistent, high-quality operational practices across multiple teams. Responsibilities include monitoring production incidents, designing systems that are reliable and observable, and leading efforts to automate and harden operational workflows such as deployments, rollbacks, and configuration management. The role also involves developing an Operational Excellence strategy focused on improving system performance and reducing operational toil.
Candidates should have at least 7 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Production Engineering, or similar roles working on distributed systems or cloud/platform services. A minimum of 2 years of technical leadership experience is required, with a strong background in Linux-based production environments, containers, and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes. Hands-on experience with observability stacks and a proven track record in incident management and designing for reliability in large-scale systems are essential.
The base salary range for this role is $206,000 to $303,000, determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to base salary, the total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program.
