Adyen is seeking a Regulatory Licensing and Affairs Team Lead for North America to oversee its federal banking presence in the U.S. and manage relationships with Canadian regulators. This role is pivotal in ensuring Adyen's compliance with regulatory standards and fostering transparent relationships with authorities such as the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) in the U.S. and the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC). The position is based in either New York or San Francisco.

The Team Lead will manage a team of legal and regulatory professionals, guiding them in maintaining Adyen's federal branch license in the U.S. and ensuring compliance with Canadian licensing and registration requirements. Responsibilities include acting as the primary liaison with the OCC, overseeing the examination lifecycle, and integrating North American regulatory insights into Adyen's global framework. The role also involves managing relationships with Canadian regulators, ensuring adherence to the Retail Payment Activities Act (RPAA), and monitoring the progress of regulatory commitments.

Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with active membership in at least one U.S. state bar and have over 10 years of experience in regulatory legal affairs, licensing, or bank supervision. Proven leadership skills in managing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment are essential. A deep understanding of the OCC's Comptroller's Handbook and 'Safety and Soundness' standards, as well as familiarity with the Canadian Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing framework, are required.
