Regional Manager (North Carolina)

BibliU is seeking a Regional Manager to oversee operations and personnel at college retail bookstores within the North Carolina region. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Retail Operations, this role involves managing multiple store locations, implementing company initiatives, and facilitating the transition from print materials to digital access. The Regional Manager will be responsible for supervising store managers, ensuring adequate inventory levels for textbooks and general merchandise, and maintaining effective communication with faculty and publishers regarding book orders. Fiscal duties include constructing and analyzing budgets, preparing financial reports, and monitoring financial performance. Additionally, the role involves building relationships with campus administration, participating in outreach to prospective customers, and ensuring stores maintain a positive customer service environment.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree (preferred) and have three to five years of management experience in a multi-unit college bookstore or retail operation. Successful retailing experience, including profitability, budgeting, merchandising, promotion, and staffing, is essential. Strong analytical skills, team-building capabilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required. The position requires the ability to accommodate an extensive travel schedule within the designated region.
