R&D Scientist (jun.) (m/w/d)

Eurofins is seeking a Junior R&D Scientist (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute to the advancement of our nucleic acid production processes, working collaboratively within a team dedicated to innovation and excellence in the life sciences sector.

Your primary responsibilities will include developing and refining protocols, integrating new equipment and methodologies into production workflows, and leading scientific collaborations, including participation in publicly funded projects. Additionally, you will support production staff in overcoming challenges related to oligonucleotide synthesis, create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and validation documents, and ensure documentation aligns with ISO9001 and ISO13485 standards. You will also assist the Sales and Marketing teams in executing customer projects.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Chemistry or a related field, preferably with a Ph.D., and possesses solid experience in oligonucleotide synthesis and analytical techniques such as HPLC, MALDI-TOF, ESI-MS, and UV/VIS. Strong teamwork skills, proactive and goal-oriented communication, a keen attention to quality and documentation, and excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities are essential. High reliability, initiative, resilience, adaptability, and fluency in both English and German are also required.
