Quant Support Analyst
The Quant Support Analyst at Numerix is a pivotal role within the Global Support Team, focusing on assisting clients with the implementation and integration of Numerix's pricing and risk analytics software solutions. This position is based in Tokyo, Japan, and offers an opportunity to work with a leading firm in financial technology, recognized for its innovative approach to quantitative analytics and software development.
In this role, the analyst will guide clients, trading support personnel, and system administrators through the implementation process, ensuring seamless integration of Numerix's solutions. Responsibilities include investigating quantitative-related support issues, providing configuration suggestions, and answering client inquiries. The analyst will also build Excel/Cross Asset Integration Layer templates from user-supplied term sheets and deal descriptions, contribute to the customer support knowledge base by creating solutions to common issues, and assist in troubleshooting software bugs by recreating customer environments for analysis.
Candidates should possess a completed MSc degree or its foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Financial Engineering, or a related field. A strong understanding of vanilla derivatives and the Black-Scholes model is essential, along with knowledge of pricing derivative instruments across various asset classes. Proficiency in Excel for financial problem-solving is required, and experience with financial modeling, stochastic processes, numerical methods, and risk management techniques is advantageous. Previous client-facing experience is also beneficial.
