Quality Systems Engineer
Divergent is seeking a Quality Systems Engineer to join their team in Torrance, California. This role is integral to ensuring the quality and reliability of products and processes within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The Quality Systems Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for high-precision manufacturing.
Key responsibilities include leading internal audits to assess process quality and efficiency, identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving positive change. The engineer will host third-party and customer audits of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with required standards. Managing system-level corrective and preventive actions, including root cause analysis and evaluation of effectiveness, is also a critical aspect of the role.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in quality initiatives focused on process improvement, defect reduction, and inspection optimization in manufacturing environments. Proficiency in implementing and managing tools such as Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and root cause analysis is essential. Strong analytical skills, clear communication abilities, and a proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams are required.
