Quality Control Sampling Group Leader
The Quality Control Sampling Group Leader at Eurofins is a pivotal role within the biopharmaceutical manufacturing sector, responsible for overseeing raw material and container sampling activities in a GMP-regulated environment. This position combines hands-on laboratory work with leadership responsibilities, ensuring that sampling processes meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include performing all duties associated with Quality Control sampling activities, such as collecting solid and liquid samples from raw materials and manufacturing components, handling and documenting samples in compliance with GMP and site SOPs, and performing quality inspections and analyses of containers and materials. The role also involves calibrating instruments, maintaining laboratory supplies, and using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for sample tracking and documentation. Additionally, the Group Leader schedules sampling and lab activities, participates in investigations of quality deviations, and implements corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Required qualifications for this role include laboratory experience in a regulated environment, at least one year of cGMP experience, strong organizational, scientific, and computer skills, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Candidates should have a high attention to detail, the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a client-facing environment, and the capacity to multitask and adapt to evolving priorities. A Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related scientific field, along with at least one year of prior leadership or lead-level experience, is required. Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is also necessary.
Compensation for this full-time position ranges from $28 to $33 per hour, depending on education and experience.
