QC Environmental Monitoring Analyst
Eurofins is seeking a QC Environmental Monitoring Analyst to join our team in Limerick. This role involves performing scientific procedures and producing accurate results within the required time frame under the customer quality system, using customer company procedures, and adhering to Eurofins' general policies and standards.
Key responsibilities include conducting routine environmental monitoring within ISO 7 and ISO 8 biopharmaceutical cleanroom environments, maintaining strict aseptic behaviors and compliant gowning standards. The analyst will perform a wide range of routine viable and non-viable sampling and incubation activities, including passive and active viable air monitoring, non-viable monitoring, and surface sampling. Additional duties involve sampling ethanol, water for injection (WFI), and clean steam (CS) systems, as well as monitoring compressed gas systems used for manufacturing. The role also supports investigations by completing ad-hoc sampling and swabbing, maintaining accurate documentation aligned with GMP requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and promote operational excellence.
Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline, along with experience working in a cleanroom or microbiology laboratory. A strong practical knowledge of GMP, aseptic techniques, and cleanroom behaviors is essential, supported by proven adherence to laboratory safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational, documentation, and data-recording skills, with strong analytical thinking and attention to detail in both routine and investigative work. Effective teamwork, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service are also required. Flexibility in working shift patterns and a willingness to learn and develop across a range of microbiological test methods are important.
