PSS Analytical Manager
The PSS Analytical Manager at Eurofins is responsible for leading a team of analysts to support client operations in laboratory and manufacturing settings. This role focuses on investigating samples and processes from the process sciences group to identify deviations and prepare batches for release. The manager will guide team leaders and analysts to prioritize development and manage the scope of work, considering potential growth opportunities.
Key responsibilities include leading teams, scheduling, and training employees within the client environment. The manager will organize technical resources and staff to achieve client goals within set deadlines, ensuring adherence to quality and productivity metrics. Regular monthly meetings with direct reports, the Eurofins department, and client managers are essential, along with disseminating administrative communications and assisting the Director with business operations as needed. Staying current with scientific and technological advancements to consult knowledgeably with clients is also a critical aspect of the role.
The ideal candidate holds at least a Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related scientific field, with a PhD preferred. A strong background in analytical chemistry and a minimum of three years of hands-on laboratory experience are required, along with experience working with monoclonal antibodies. The role demands strong leadership and project management skills, a solid understanding of daily business operations, and excellent client service abilities. Proficiency in computer, scientific, and organizational skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, are essential. Business management education or experience is preferred, and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 annually, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, and paid vacation and holidays.
