Property Care Specialist, Maintenance
Public Storage, a leader in the self-storage industry, is seeking a dedicated Property Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work independently across multiple properties, both indoors and outdoors, to maintain the appearance and functionality of our facilities. This position is integral to ensuring our properties meet the high standards our customers expect.
As a Property Care Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include conducting daily inspections of storage units, confirming rental unit availability, and ensuring vacant units are clean and ready for occupancy. Maintenance tasks encompass sweeping and mopping floors, removing debris, applying insecticides, lubricating door mechanisms, replacing damaged components such as rubber gaskets and latches, removing cobwebs, weeding, and maintaining cleanliness of restrooms and common areas. Additionally, you will be responsible for reporting maintenance needs, safety concerns, and equipment issues to management, as well as performing minor plumbing repairs and maintaining equipment like golf carts and rental trucks.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills. Prior experience in custodial work or general maintenance is advantageous. A self-starter attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent customer service and communication skills are essential. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, reliable personal transportation, and be willing to travel to multiple locations, working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to pass a drug screen and background check are also required.
This full-time position offers an hourly wage of $15.50, with potential for bonuses.
