Property Care Specialist, Maintenance
Public Storage, a leader in the self-storage industry, is seeking a dedicated Property Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work independently across multiple properties, both indoors and outdoors, to maintain property appearance and perform light repairs and maintenance. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in facility cleanliness and minor mechanical repairs, including the operation of tools and equipment such as power tools, golf carts, and lawn mowers.
As a Property Care Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include maintaining the cleanliness of properties, conducting daily storage unit inspections, and ensuring rental units are ready for occupancy. Tasks involve sweeping and mopping floors, removing trash and debris, spraying insecticide, greasing door springs and tracks, replacing rubber gaskets and light bulbs, and removing cobwebs. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining restrooms, stocking supplies, reporting maintenance needs and safety concerns, and performing minor plumbing repairs. Operating and maintaining equipment such as golf carts and rental trucks will also be part of your duties.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills. Prior experience in custodial work and general maintenance or repair is preferred. A self-starter attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent customer service and communication skills are essential. Candidates must act with personal integrity, comply with company policies, and be willing to travel to multiple locations, working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. A valid driver's license, reliable personal transportation, and the ability to pass a drug screen and background check are required.
