Project Engineer I

In this role, the Project Engineer I is responsible for reviewing internally produced designs of solar energy projects, ensuring they align with project constraints and contractual commitments. The engineer coordinates or runs PVsyst simulations to confirm design production meets contractual obligations and supports the contracting team in assembling contract documents and reviewing third-party EPC bids. Additionally, the role involves conducting design reviews for solar power plants and substations, managing project engineering data, and participating in constructability reviews.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited institution, with an EIT license preferred. A minimum of one year of project engineering experience in designing, building, or commissioning within the EPC or utility electricity generation field is desired. Prior experience in the solar industry is advantageous. Proficiency in MS Office is required, with familiarity in Procore, Bluebeam Revu, PVsyst, and AutoCAD considered beneficial. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously are essential.
