Project Engineer
BESIX Watpac is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team for upcoming projects in Melbourne's western suburbs and Geelong. As a subsidiary of the international BESIX Group, we specialize in complex construction across various sectors, including building and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure projects are implemented according to plans, designs, and specifications. Key responsibilities include interpreting designs for construction implementation, contributing to design improvements, arranging and overseeing tenders, preparing site construction budgets and reports, and monitoring construction progress to ensure adherence to program schedules.
The ideal candidate will possess a degree or diploma in building, construction, or a related field. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the business. Demonstrated autonomy, initiative, sound reasoning, and decision-making skills are required, as well as the capacity to deliver results in high-pressure environments. A high level of professionalism and maturity in daily work ethic is also expected.
