The Technical Manager will oversee the operational areas of the laboratory, ensuring the development and enhancement of processes and methods. This role involves managing a team, approving process improvements, and supporting commercial relationships. The position requires adherence to quality standards such as ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025, ABNT NBR ISO 14001, and ABNT NBR ISO 45001, while maintaining deadlines, ensuring employee safety, protecting company assets, and delivering reliable results.
Key responsibilities include supervising and approving the development of processes and methods, managing personnel through task distribution, training, and performance evaluation, and analyzing investments to propose equipment purchases that enhance laboratory productivity and profitability. The role also involves overseeing the procurement of materials and supplies to ensure quality and cost reduction, generating data for audits, and ensuring the laboratory workflow—from sample intake to result issuance—aligns with company policies and reliability standards.
The ideal candidate will possess a completed specialization, MBA, or master's degree in Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or Microbiology. Advanced or fluent proficiency in English and basic Spanish are required.
