Professional Services Senior Software Engineer
Workstream is seeking a Professional Services Senior Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering complex technical integrations between our platform and enterprise client systems. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely and collaborate with a team of professionals dedicated to enhancing the hourly workforce management experience.
As a Senior Software Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include architecting and building robust API integrations with client HR, payroll, and POS systems. You will develop and maintain reusable integration frameworks and shared libraries to accelerate delivery across the team. Additionally, you will own the full software lifecycle—from design and development through testing, deployment, and production support—and build data migration pipelines and CSV transformation solutions for enterprise onboarding. Developing two-way payroll integrations with complex business logic and error handling, as well as building and deploying custom internal tools to improve team efficiency, will also be key aspects of your role.
The ideal candidate will possess strong engineering skills, writing clean, production-quality code and taking ownership of their work. Proficiency in AI-native development practices, including familiarity with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted development workflows, is essential. Experience with infrastructure-as-code and deployment pipelines using Terraform, GitHub Actions, and related CI/CD tooling is also required. Additionally, the ability to lead technical discovery sessions with enterprise clients and translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications is crucial.
