As a Production Manager at Monks, you will serve as the logistical architect for our client's account, based in Tokyo. Your primary responsibility will be to orchestrate a "follow-the-sun" production model, managing a high volume of digital, film, and AI-generated assets across Monks’ global network. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless collaboration between the client in Japan and our production hubs in EMEA, North America, and APAC, delivering projects with Japanese precision and global scale.

Your key responsibilities will include managing end-to-end production workflows involving multiple global offices, optimizing resources by identifying the best talent for each project, and implementing rigorous quality control processes that meet the high standards of Japanese craftsmanship. Additionally, you will oversee AI-first workflows, leveraging generative AI for versioning, localization, and asset creation, and lead projects involving real-time rendering and virtual photography. Acting as the trusted production partner for the client in Tokyo, you will manage complex, multi-currency budgets and anticipate potential bottlenecks to ensure smooth project execution.

The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of production experience in an agency or production house, with a proven track record of delivering complex, integrated campaigns for global brands. Experience with automotive production requirements is highly valued. Native-level Japanese and professional English proficiency are essential, along with a strong understanding of AI tools, 3D pipelines, and CMS platforms. You should be organized, calm under pressure, and proficient with project management tools like Asana, or Jira.
